SOHOONEU PHILIPPINE FROM At 8.30 a,.m.' yesterday .the. iAmerican' four-maetert schooner Philippine (491 tons), in command of Captain Frederickaen, in tow of the tug Pelican, dropped anchor in the stream. The Philippine, which had an uneventful trip of 66 days from San Francisco, experienced very rough weather only during the last few days. Her cargo consists, of oase-oil (under hatches) and lumber'on deck. Messrs. A. S. Pattersonand Co. am the local agents. The Biverina on arrival from Sydney this afternoon will berth at No. 4 Queen's Wharf. Her passengers number 127, and her cargo totals 2640 tons. The return, trip to Sydney -will be started on Thursday night. . '■ • .• The schooner fiouto, which left Dunedin on Sunday morning. October 13. for Wellington, arrived .here on Saturday afternoon. A very rough trip was made' against a'continual northerly gale, but no damage was dono. On completion of discharging a general cargo she will load scrap-iron for Dunedin. Tho Wootton is to sail to-night with general cargo for Lyttelton. The Monowai arrived . yesterday . afternoon direct from Dunedin. This afternoon she is to sail for Lyttelton, Nnpiqr, Gisborne, and Auckland. Local cargo will not be taken this trip.
