A BOUGH WEEK,

The weather has not been suitable for bowls during the past week. After the boisterous woatlier of the past few days, tho soaking rain of yesterday has softened all the greens, and clubs would be well advised to nurse them until they harden up a little, otherwise they may suffer for it later on. The Khandallah Club is to open its green to-day. The pennant games are to commence to-day fortnight. Tho following have been selected to play for Petone to-day : n a friendly game with Lyall Bav :—.Tones, A. Cometti, Cowio, Wylie (s.); Naughton, Curtis, Doneghue, M'Ewon (s.).
