His name was Daniel Napoleon Mcsnard, and he was tho son of a lady whose maiden name was Leon, who was the daughter of Count Leon, a natural son of the Emperor. The dead soldier bore himself bravely in tho defence, of Reims, and was mentioned in dispatches.
