Frank Witten, aged 40, and •his son, Frank, aged 14, are believed to have been drowned near Warkworth through the capeizing of a boat, which has been found bottom uppermost. CHINESE'COMMITS SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Preen Association. Invercargflf, October 17. . A Chinaman named Chin Toi Yep committed suicide by hanging himself in a stable in a suburb this morning. He had been morose and quiet sines receiving a letter a fortnight ago from China containing bad news. MINER KILLED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. fnvercargill, October 17. Michael Prendeville, a miner at Nightcaps. Mine, was killed to-day instantaneously by a prop falling, on his head.
