RECONDITIONING WHEAT
Results which are regarded as highly satisfactory have attended the work i.of reconditioning . consignments of ■damaged Victorian wheat (says the •Melbourne ''Ago"), the operation being conducted by a private firm on account of the commission. Tho percentage of good wheat recovered in the case of lots which had undergone deterioration through having been attacked by mice was 84.18 per cent.; screenings and \ badly damaged grain represented 6.54 per cent., and foreign matter 9.'28" per cent. From weevily wheat the proportion of good quality obtained after treatment was 90.63 per cent.; of screenings, 2.67 per cent., and of foreign matter 6.70 per cent. •
