Prices opened about 10s. per head below last week's rates, but iirmed as the sale progressed and equalled late values at the finish. Prime Bullocks, £24 to £26 17s. 6c1.; medium, £19 to £22; light, £16 to £18 10s.; prime cows and heifers, £17 to £19; medium, £14 10s. to £16; old and inferior, £10 to £12 10s. There were otfy 1593 fat sheep penned. Tho quality was better than last week. Butchers were baro of supplies, and a brisk sale resulted, extra prime wethers advancing ' nearly'2s. a head, while unfinished sheep were Is. a head dearer. Extra prime wethers, 625.; prime, 535. to 575. 6d.; medium, 465. to 51s. 9d.; light unfinished, 375. to 445.; extra prime owes,. 565.; prime, 425. to 605.; medium, 38s. to 415.; light, 275. to 365. There were 58 lambs penned, including some very good sorts. Competition was keen. Prime heavv, 28s. 3d. to 315.9d.: medium, 245. to 285.; light, 19s. to 235. 6d. Tho entry of pigs was a medium one. Fats met a very keen sale at high prices, and values, for weights from ISO to 1801b., were higher thaii at any sale at Burnside for many years. Stores met' a dragging sale, prices declining -ss. a head.
