The Rev. H. H. Mathias moved that ' the National Efficiency Board's recommendation he adopted by Synod. ' Both motions were takon together. In the discussion which followed opinion leaned towards the Efficiency Board's recommendations, but the debate was not concluded when Synod adjourned. Bishop Julius said he want*! pro,hibition, with or without compensation. If the country was ready to give, com--pensation, he would prefer it. '
