; The inspector's report' included four cases- of- working horses with , sore shoulders, one case of kicking and Hogging, one of starving cattle, and one cat destroyed. , Thero were three ensos dealt with by the Magistrate and two cases wore awaiting , 'trial.' Subscriptions received amounted' to £13 195., including £1 Is. each from the Union iSteam Ship Company, C. Smith, Ltd., ■Mr. G. M. Kebboil, Mrs. Low, and £1 each from Mr. W. Watson and Mrs. Whitbread-Edwnrds;
