A riw ie now buine put up at a point 25ft. northfrom thoface of No. 4 level to connect with the hangingwall reef. The rise i 3 at present up for a' distance of 14 f*ssi. I expect to strike the reef after rising another U feet. £o. 3 level: North-Little or no. change has ■taken place hero durine the- month, the veef remaining from 2 to 10 feet m width. The work In progress on the south end of, No. 2 intermediate ie stopped for the; timo being owing to labour shortage. No; 2 level- When .looking through• the old etopes over No. 2 level north of mali crosscut lasr~week, I found that ?, fall lad taken place, and haa exposed a, reef 2ft. wido with payable, prospects. A. contract has been' let to rise, on this for a distance of 30ft. to prove the extent of tho stone. Tonnage delivered to battery orebin for tho month was 935 tons. The battery crushed 1095.t0ns of ore, which produced a gross return valued approximately at £2200.
