Tho Union Company, as you Know, the opportunity, by tho df granting us a war bonus to compensate for this loss, ' but did not sliow us tho samo spirit as the spall boat owners when wo approached | them. "With the Shipowners' Federation, seven months before their agreement was .up, wo wc.ro able to obtain £8 war bonus, and with the Northern Company, out of Auckland, six months beforo their, agreement was up, we wero granted a £2 war bonus, thus showing that we have not received duo consideration from tho Union Company, which wo aro entitled to, seeing the war risk some of our members are running without any compensation.
