Tho N.Z. Loan and • Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report having conducted' a clearing sale at Pahautauui on account of the trustees in the estate of 0..A. Carter. The herd, which came forward in good condition, realised good prices, and avorayed £12 sb. per head. Messrs, Dalgety and Co,, Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held their fortnightly sale at Taihape on Wednesday, when an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle came forward. A line' of mixed-sex hoggets, offered on account of J. A. Oliver, topped the market at 325. lid. Quotations:— Mixed-sex hoggets. Z7s. M.. 28a. 10d., 30s. 3d., to 323. lid*.; medium sorts, 225. 9d. to ?.7s. 3d.; small hoggets, 195.; fat ewes, 35b. Bd.; five-year ewes, with ICO per cent, lambs, 275. Id.
