RABBIT PEST IN NEW SOUTH WALES
Sydnoy, October 10. Rabbits are becoming a serious menace in many parts of the State. The shortage of labour, the prohibitive price of wire netting, scarcity of poisons, as results of the war, combined with an abundance of feed during the past two years has led to an enormous increase and spread of the pest. Pastoralists and farmers are becoming seriously alarmed. In some of the Western districts, however, the rabbits are reported to bo dying:in large numbers owing to a mysterious disease and shortage or feed.—Press Assn.
