Auckland, October 10. The theft -of £120 contained in a mail bag consigned by train from Auckland Post Office for Huntly was committed on Saturday week. The money was in a special packet put in the mail bag at the Auckland office, and the mail bap; was placed m a van on the train in the usual way, and delivered at Huntly, where it was discovered that •the bag had been, interfered with, and some of the contents, including the money package, abstracted.
