ST. JOHN AMBULANCE,PETONE
The annual meeting of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, Potene Division, was held on Monday evening. Mr. L. Parrant presided. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. J. SV. MacEwan; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Cook, C. T. Bargh, A. Coles, D. M. Armstrong; lion, surgeon, Dr. D. M. Ross; acting-super-intendent, Mr. F. Lockwood; first officer, Mr. L. Parrant; sergeants, Messrs. F. W. Greenfield and H. G. Shardlow; corporals, Messrs. W. W. Shardlow and R. Pointon; inspector of stores, Mr. A. H. Medhurst; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J, Kyle; second officer, Mr. G. W. Staples; auditor, Mr, AY. C- Burd.
It was decided to send a team to Masterton to compete on New Year's Day. . . ■ The secretary was instructed to report on the question of forming a .lifesaving club.
