THE WELLINGTON CLUB

The AVellington Lawn Tennis Club bad a glorious day for the opening on Saturdav. and in spite, of the heavy rain of'tho previous day, the courts were in excellent condition for play. About sixty members and guests were present, ailil, in the unavoidable absence of tho president, Mr. l'\ Grady, one of the vice-presidents, w. .coined t.bo visitors and declared the courts open for the season. Afternoon tea was then partaken, and play proceeded vigorously. Kvoryoue present thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
