RED CROSS "OURDAY" FLAG DRIVE
• The reasons which prompted the "flag drive" may not be generally understood, hence, a (few words of explanation ' may be appreciated. In former years appeals for the smaller subscriptions for the "Our Day" Fund took the form of street collections, flower days, raffles, oto., entailing a lot, of hard work and expense on the part of collectors, most of whom are ladies and who proved untiring. The "Our ' Day" •■ ' Committee • this year to . avoid all the tedious work ' and expense by .introducing a scheme by. which the smaller siSuscfibers can give a direct subscription by purchasing flags "for the decoration of their windows.-.. Every, flag represents ss. for the benefit of thesick and wounded. Those who wish to show their appreciation of the most hu-, mane institution in the world can do so at small expense. It is hoped every office, store, and dwelling in "Wellington will be suitably decorated before "Our 1 Day'," October 24.
