SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
A popular programme was presented to the seamen by the Misses M. and D. Clarke on Thursday. Their guests showed their dolighfc hy demanding double encores. Those concerts given by Wellington residents at the Sailors' Friend Society are looked for with keenness by the men. The performers were the Misses M. and D. Clarke awl Messrs. Martin, M'.Donald, and Gillinore. Miss.D. Clarke was at the piano. The competition prizes came from Wellington Central. A few words were said- by Mr. Moore on tho. war victories, and hearty cheers were given for tho men sA tlifc front and on the seas.
