MINISTER'S REPLY TO MR; ' WITTY. By Telegraph—Press Aesociation Christciiurcn, October 4. Sir. G. Witty, M.P., who hus been urging upon the Minister of Defence that recruits should nut bo taken into camp during tho prevalance of influenza at Trentham, has received the following reply from Sir.James ness is so widespread that recruits'are as liable to infection at homo as in camp. In camp they will receive medical treatment that is not possible in civil life. Fortunately, tho .disease is not severe among the soldiers."
