"FLAG DRIVE" FOR RED CROSS

Sir, —Tho "flag drive" has started, and an opportunity is to be given to everyone who resides in a house to help on Red Cross work. It should bo a privilege for all to give, because the work is n sad necessity, but withal a work of earnest love and undying gratitude to those who are giving their life's blood that we may live._ There are two ways at least in which great help can lie given to those who are out 011 this campaign. One is receiving the call with sympathy, and - the other in providing readily the os., for which a flag will be given. ' It has been suggested that, in the case of a boardinghouse, an hotel, a, hostel, a school, flats, .sports, houses, or any one houso in which there are a number of inmates, a collecting card be.left, so that each one person may giv9 a scriptior. to enable the house to be' decorated with the flags, the card to lie called for at a given time, and the flags provided for the amount. In case of those who cannot give the os. at once, that an instalment plan be devised, ard for those who. cannot really afford tho-amount that a small subscription be gladly accepted. Refusals -there must be none. Let us "hitch oiir wagon to a star." and we, too, may raise £100,000 for the great

iuid worthy Red Cross Fund.—l am, etc.,
