Mouldy, who is a single man of 27, is alleged to have" evaded'the efforts of the police at Wangahui to locate him. He came to Auokland, where he, was arrested and placed in CI Camp, from which he is alleged to have deserted. He lived in a tent on an island .in tho Waikato River, about six miles below Tualnu, obtaining provisions from a store at Bucklanu, where no police are btationed. _____ i
