CRICKET
The annual meeting of the Thorndon Club was hold on Friday night, when tho following officers were elected:— President, Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P.; viceprosidents, Rev. A. M. Johnson, Messrs. H. J. Buck, 15. L. Salmon, J. E. Fitzgerald, Pv. Hendry, C. Stewart, W. Preedy, H. L. Godber, H, H. Davenport; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. Roy Johnson; secretary, Boys' League teams, Mr. C. Stanton; delegate to Wellington Cricket League, Mr. B. L. Salmon; delegates to Boys' League, Messrs. Buck and Salmon; management couimittea, Messrs. J. W. ' Humphries, P. Laurenson, F. V. Monk, T. Plant, and G. Roberts; hon. auditor, Mr. T. Fitzgerald. Practice will be held on Anderson's Park, commencing when tlie ground is available, probably next Saturdny. Teains will bd entered, for tho junior competition of tie Wellington Cricket Association and in the Senior and Junior Boys' Cricket League.
