Private John Watliug Newborn*, killed in action in France on September 13, was formerly in the service of Messrs. Laery and Co. He was tho youngest son of Mrs. Newberry, of lla Somerset Avenue, Wellington. He left Now Zealand with the Eighth Reinforcements, and was wounded at Messiues in June, 1917. One of his brothers is still in France, having been on activo service nearly four years.
