Melbourne, September 27,

•The report of the. Royal Commission, which inquired into the cases of the seven interned Irishmen states that there is no evidence that the men were connected with, .enemy persons in the Commonwealth, but the mternces, who are.members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, had collected money here to assistan armed rebellion in Ireland, the .'money being expended in the purchase of war material from Germany, with which country the leaders the movement were in communication. Cabinet'has .decided that the deten-' tion of the internees is to be continued. —Press Assn. MEN HAD NO LOVE FOR GERMANY, (Rec. September 27, 7.25 p.m.) - Sydney, September 27.-' The Commission's report on the. interned Irish says that the leaders of the movement in" Australia made use of the Irish 'National Association to further .their aims, .but it was not 'Known that the rank and file of the as-sociation-had...any_ knowledge of their communications: with Germany. Referring., to Albert Tliomas Dryer, one-of'liiiB■ men the report' says:—."The association with Germanywas not from any love of Germany, but because" any" meaiis in their view was justifiable to injure Britain, whom they regard as "the enemy and oppressor of-Ireland."' ".: Regarding .Maurice Dalton, another infei'ueej,' the report expresses grave suspicion.
