FEDERAL CLUB
Tho twenty-sixth annual meeting of. members of the Wellington Federal Club (incorporated) was held at the club rooms, Willis Street, last even- < ing. The president, (Mr. ,W. A. Fordham), fi fn moving the adoption of tho annual report and balance-sheet, congratulated the club on its prosperous position. Sympathy .was expressed with tlie relatives of Sergeant-major E. Levy, Private K. L. King, and Rifleman M. Knpli, who died oh activo service, also to the relatives of an old and respected member, Mr. R. J- Ramsay, who had passed away during the current year. A motion of condolence was carried in silence. Mention was made that the membership roll totalled' two hundred, of which number thirty-five were on active service. Tho report was adopted. Officers for tho ensuing year were elected as follow:— President, Mr. W. A. Fordham (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs. T. 11. Archibald, J. Doyle, W. J. S. Hayward, T. 11. Morrison (all re-elected); committee, Messrs. C. Belsh, B. Guise, A. Hamilton, J. H. Heron, F. D. Kean, James Moston, ,A.' N. Robertson, H. 11. Searle-. E. E. W0011; treasurer, Mr. F. 0. AVallburtbn ; secretary, Mr. F. W. Dunlop; auditor, Mr. W. IT. Jones. Eulogistic references wero made to the good work of the retiring treasurer (Miv 11. 0. Brown), and secretary (Mr. A. Lawson), and regret was expressed that their valuable seiv vices, could not bo commanded during tuo ensuing year. Votes of thanks to the retiring officers and the chairman closed tlie proceedings.
