PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB
A committee meeting of the Povti Nicholson Yacht Club was held on Wednesday. Present: W. Duncan (commodore), H. M'Coimsk (vice-com-modqje), B. Clarke (rear commodore), E. Hannan, A. Wilkinson, H. Smith, ■H. Croucber, H. Edlund, J. E. Cully J. Gendall, G. M'Lean (hon. secretary), j\[ajor A. Petherick (hon. treasurer). The club course has been'fixed from. Clyde Quay Wharf outside Jernmgham Buoy to Pinnacle 'Buoy and return. Captain T. H. Chudley was elected vice-president, and tlie following new members were elected: C. W. Ohilmail, Major A. Hollis, A. J. Ibbetson, G. F. Fox, W. M'Comish, K. M'Kenzie. Yachts were classified as follow: —First Class: Waitangi, Rona, White Heather, Marangi, Kotiri 11, Atalanta, Wdirere 11, Viola. Second Class: lo*\ lanthe, Galatea, Wairere I, Nanette, Venus, Viking, Windward, Raweno, Lizzie. Third Clasß: Ethel, Muritai, Amai, Waimoa, Miru, Nikau. • Tlie committee decided to hold a carnival in aid of patriotic objects on a suitable date. The opening day was* fixed for November 0.
