A Press Association telegram from Dunedin reports the death of Mrs. W. H. Cuttcn,' aged 91. oho .was the eldest daughter of the late Captain Carwill, founder of Otara, and arrived in, Dunedin with her father in the ship John Wicldiffa, in 1848.

Tho Ladies' Auxiliary of the Navy League are holding their second annual meeting on Friday evening (.September 27), at 8 o'clock, in tho accountants' Chambers, Johnston Street. It is imperative that a good representative meeting should be held,' so all members are asked to attend.
