Stevens. , •• A letter wrts received from tho New Zealand Council regarding the resumption of playing Plunket Shield matches. On tho motion of Mr. C. R. Smith it was resolved that the .matter-be left in tho hands of the Management Committpo, with the direction that if such matchos were arranged soldiers bo ailowed to play with their homo asso* ciation. ■ ! Mr.- Wilson spoke of tho happy relations that. existed between the Wellington Association and tho City Council, and between tho various amateur sports bodies iri: Wellington. Ho also asked for the support of the association in the coming effort of all the sports bodies on behalf of the Christmas Gift Fund. ' On the motion of Mr. Crombie it was decided that the following bo added to tho first part of Rule 34: "Provided, however, that, with tho conso.it of tho Management Committee (a) a player finally leaving college, or school, not being Victoria University Colloge, may play with another club; (b) a soldier entering ciinip may play with the camp club; (c) a soldier oii belling.discharged from camp may play with another club." ■ -■'... j On the motion of Mr. M'Kerizie tho following now rule 44a was agreed to: "Either batsmen may appeal to tho umpires as to the fitness of .light for play." It was decided to start play on future Saturdays at 1.45 p.m. instead of at 2 p.m. (is previously. • Appreciative references were mado to the worlc of tho secretary and treasurer, nnd rotes of thanks wcro accorded him and to the chairman. ■.
