Last cvnnin.ee the 'Wellington Rugby ty.non dealt with a letter from Referee L. Simpson, which stated that during the Ponekc-Retone match last Saturday he had ordered Hagan (the Petono wiiw-forward) and Pollock (the Poneke half-bacM off i.he field. After the players had given evidence. Air. Lundon moved that they should be cautioned. Mr. Griffiths seconded. Mr. Millard moved as an amendment that they should be suspended for six playing' Saturdays. This was seconded by Mr. M.'llraith. Both the motion and the amendment were lost Finally, on tho motion of Messrs. Kitto and Cook, it was resolved_ to suspend both players for three playing Saturdays.
