NEARLY FIFTY MILLIONS. Tho .quarterly statement of New Zealand expenditure on the war shows that the total amount expended up till June 30 last was £44,162,707, or, with the additions of imprests to the amount of £4,093,235, the. amount is £48,255,942. Of this amount £43,678,750 has heen actual war expenditure, relief purposes have taken £233,238, and tho expenses of raising loans have been £250,719. Three months previously, at the end of the financial year on March 31, the total stood at £39,269,550.
