AMOKUIU BOYS' SPOUTS I'IUZES PRESENTED. Miss J. M'lntyro (hostess) was responsible for a rod lettor uiglit at the Sailors' Friend Society, when a programme of rare merit was earned out before » big audience by Mrs. O'Noil and tlio Misses Boycc, D. Black, Neil, and 1. Wemyss, and Messrs. Goudie, Woodward, Dowler, and Jones, and Masters Hawkins and Thompson. .Miss Hardie; was at the piano. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, was in the chair, and he was supported by Messrs. fiarnsdale and Campbell, chief officer and chief steward of the G.T.S. Amokura. Opportunity was taken of the occasion to present the prizes won in the annual sports of the Amokura. As usual, these sports wore carried but with much energy. The prizes were useful and valuable. The cup donated bj - Dr. Cameron (Dunedin) and the medal by the Sports Committee were much admired. The winners were:— t'y yards, open—Geo. Derrick, 1; diaries llobb, 2; William Todd, .'!. Beginners' race—John Mattison, 1; Garnet Moat-yard, 2. Breast stroko (■SO yards)— James ft. Hnncox. 1; George M'Calluni, 2. Staff race—Mr. Campbell,-1; Mr. Barm-dale, 2. Teams' relay race (cup)— Starboard watch. Bac'e in khaki suit—Lewis Irvine. 1; George. Cameron. 2. Tub race—Ronald Duclcer. 1; Arthur Toombs, 2. 200 yards handicap (open)— Arthur Amos, ] : George Derrick. 2.: Charles llobb, .').' Corfu dive—Charles Itobb, 1: Kd■tvani FitzWilliam, 2. 75 .yards petty officers' race—George Derrick, 1; Allen Mack, 2. Musical lifebuoys—David Thomson, 1; George M'Callum, 2. Diving oxhibtiou—Allan Mack, 1: Edward FitzWilliam, 2. Consolation race—John Arthur Shanks, 1; Victor Longuet, 2.
