FOR THE RED CROSS
'FLAG'DRIVE BEGINS. The flag drive to secure money for Red Cross work was begun in Wellington yesterday. As the day was a holiday,'little more than the launching of the drive was aimed at, but already a number of windows in the heart of the city are ornamented with a flag. To-day and on subsequent days, tho hig business places will he visited. The smaller places will not escape, nor will the residences in the suburbs, and it is reckoned that ere long every window in Wellington will show a flag. Com. mittees are working hard organising the campaign, and Mr. Carr is the leader. The Our Day Fund will ho al-. lotted to the British Red Cross, the Now Zealand Branch' of tlio Red Cross in London and the New Zealand body which provides for the comfort of our heroes in New Zealand.
