GLIMPSE OF INTERNAL AUSTRIA
Amsterdam, September 22. Food rioters and strikors in Salzburg (in Austria) plundered the army commissariat, tho loading hotels and pro\i:,iou shops, and destroyed much property. They smashed the doors of tho Government Palace, and gendarmes inside fired and killed several people. Government and municipal employees joined the strikers, and the garrison was either powerless or unwilling to restore order—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
AUSTRIAN REGIMENT HOISTS THE .RED FLAG. Copenhagen, September 22. An Austrian regiment at Kovno mutinied, refused to march against tho French and British front, and hoisted the red (lag. Two other regiments joined the mutineers.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
