INVESTITURE' IN OHRISTCHURCH. On Saturday morning tie GovernorGeneral held an investiture at the Provincial Council Chamber, Christchurch, when, by command of His Majesty the King, ho presented Badges of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empiro to the following:— Third Class, or "Commander" of Mβ Order (C.8.E.): Lady Ward. Fourth Class, or "Officers" of the Order (0.8. E.): Mrs. Boyle, Christchurch ; Mr. Henry Holland, Mayor of Christchurch; Mrs. Holland, Christchurch; Mr. A.E. G. Rhodes, Christchurch; Mrs. Wigram, Christchurch. Fifth Class, or "Members" of the Order (M.8.E.): Mr. G. L. Donaldson, Christehurch; Mrs. Guinness, Timaru; Mrs. Leaver, Westport; Dr. E. G. Levinge, Christchurch; Mr. C. J. freleaven, Christchurch.
