The rivers and streams in the Masterton district are reported to be fainy well stocked v with trout, and the prospects for the trout-fishing season, which opens on October 1, are good. The "Checr-oh Girls" from Wellington are coming to Masterton for the week-end. They are to be assisted by the OL Camp orchestra, and are assured'of an enthusiastic reception. At a meeting of the congregation of the Kuripuni Methodist Church on Thursday evening it was decided to provide additional accommodation at thellvurch. for Sunday School purposes.
