Fine weather, with scattered showers in Otago and West-land, prevailed throughout the country yesterday; In Wellington a nor'-west by west wind with a bleak bite blew for the best part of tho day,, and tho air was cold out of the sun. Present'indications are for increasing westerly winds, strong to gale in and southward of Cook Strait." Tho weather is likely to become cloudy and unsettled, with rain following generally. The barometer is falling, everywhere. »
