ANOTHER BIG APPROPRIATION. Washington, September 18. Estimates for seven billion dollars have been submitted to the Houso, covering the military establishment for the financial year, including 9,185,000,000 dollars for armament.- This appropriation is additional to the'eighteen billion dollars already provided.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. (Rec. September 19, 7.45 p.m.) Bombay, September 19. The Legislative Council is discussing the question of India taing a larger sbare in the war. The "Times of India," comments: "India liitherto has borne the normal cost, of one hundred thousand men. It is now suggested that she should provide an additional two hundred thousand men, with a further hundred thousand from April next, involving a total expenditure of £46,000,000."— Reuter.
