PORTUGUESE STEAMER TORPEDOED
CREW FIVE DAYS IN AN OPEN* BOAT. (R.ee. September 17, 11 p.m.) Ottawa, September 16. A. ship's crow of sixteen men have arrived at a Canadian Atlantic port. They wore roscued in an open boat from a Portuguese steamer which was torpedoed off the coast five, days pre-viously.—Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
