SOLDIERS SENTENCED

HARD LABOUR FOR TWO YEARS. For disobeyir/i tho lawful command of a superior officer the following soldiers have been sentenced by district courts-martial held at Trenthani Camp to imprisonment with hard labour for two years:— 85,588 Pte. A sum of £300 13s. 10d. was taken at the Masterton Patriotic Shop oil Saturday iu aid of the funds of the Church Army. A large attendance is expected at an extraordinary general meeting of members of 'tho AVellington Returned Soldiers' Association, wiUL'ii will take place in the Returned Soldiers' Club, Lambton Quay, at 8 sharp on Wednesday evening. The order sheet, which is advertised in. another column, is extensive and important, and members are requested to bo punctual. The general secretary of the A'ew Zealand Returned Soldiers' Associati-xi, Mr. D. J. D. Seymour, will deliver an address on the functions of the organisation, which should be most interesting tu all. TEA DRINKING. The New Zealande'rs arc such confirmed tea drinkers that it is no use talking or' writing about any injurious effects therefrom. There are no serious aftereffects from tea except when it is taken tou- freely with food.
