ITALIAN BLOW IN THE BRENTA
AUSTRIAN DEFENSIVE SYSTEM CAPTURED A SUCCESSFUL STROKE London, September' 15. An Italian official report states: "In the Brenta Valley, after a short but effective artillery preparation, with tho co-operation of aeroplanes, wo attacked tho enemy yesterday morning at Grovella, southward of Corto. After crushing a fierce resistance, wo conquered the whole defonsive system, consisting of entrenchments at the bottom of the valley and strong defensive works on both sides."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
