BARON BURIAN'S PEACE FEELER
MOTIVES SUSPECTED,AT , WASHINGTON. Washington, September 12/ The "New York Times" correspondent at Washington says that official circles are suspicions of the motives of Baron Burton's peace conference suggestions to German journalists. The general 'opinion is that the mbßt startling feature of-the statement is the frank doubt it expresses of the possibility of a German victory. When it is recalled what happened to von Kuhlroann (ex-German Foreign Minister), officials declare that it is a confession of weakness .which no German stateman could make and retain his portfolio.
