Poultry Association Irom Olifieteliurcli, Haoite., England, dealing witli the prospects of: relumed soldiers coming to Now Zealand to take up poultry-keeping. Tho writer says:—"Under General Bichiu'dson'e 'educational Bcheme all men in tho Mew Zealand Expeditionary Force will undergo' a, course ol practical ami theoretical twining in England on any subject they wish to tako up. I have- been appointed poultry instructor in tho southern,command, &nd ; l think tlin,t with'tlic.-assiptr unco of New 'Zealand poultry people ,\vo will bo able to make a biir lift in poultry affairs. Out 1 of IOO.OCO men at least- 10,000 will attend poultry lecturos from time to time, and I should say at- tho leaet wo will recruit, say, lOOQ.mcn iio poultry farmers in' New- Zealand. , ' , . ■• ■' Wo question very much whether it is a wise proposition to encourage |our soldiers to como back to New Zealand to tako ii]) poultry farming. Bio, difficulty is of eccuriiiK foods and tho importation of cheaper orsb in prejudicing tho-proß-poets ol the industry. ' In Australia, tho position is different. ,Tho soldiers there have been placed on settlements, each having a i'iu'iu of five acrcß.
