SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Warm thanks were tendered by the men of the sea nt Thursday's concert at the Sailors' Friend Society to their hostess (Miss V. Muelbr) and the performers for a happy nislit. Songs, recitals, etc, were given by Mesdames Mueller ami Vare, tlie Misses Trane, Aitchison, AVeston, M'lntyre, Anke- . telle, V. Mueller, N. Lee, and Master Tom Goorw. Mrs. Vare <\vd Miss Ar.ketelle were at tlie piano. Refreshments wore handed round'by tlie hostess and porformers in an interval. Thorndon again sent prizes for the competition. ■
