WAR LECTURE
"Italy and the War" ib the title of a popular lecture the Hon. T. M. Wilford will deliver in the Town Hall next Monday, on behalf of the Italian Red Cross Fund. In their intense love of freedom,- and the struggles they have made to attain it, the. Italian people are much akin to our own. Italy a entry into the great war on the side of the Allies is proof of their devotion to the cause of liberty. Dealt, with by Mr. Wilford, the story of Italy's connection with tho present war ib expected to prove of very greaf interest, and combined with the object for which it is g'iveir. a large audience is anticipated. The Wellington Patriotic (society's Band has given its services, and will plav selections previous to the lecture. "Their Excellencies Lord and Lndv Liverpool and His Worship tho Mayor and the Mayoress of Wellington will he present. Tickets can bo obtained at tho Bristol, where the plan is now open, or at Mr. Norman Aitlcen's,.Coiirtenay Place.
