THE TRAMWAY MEN
DEMAND FOR INCREASED WAGES
It is officially stated that the Tramway men aro quite serious in regard to their demand for a minimum wage of Is. 4d. per hour, with corresponding increases in tho higher grades of the service. The men. assert that they are not prepared to accept anything else, and it is therefore likely that the development during the next few days will bp of considerable interest. The next step must como from the men, but there will be no definite _ move until after to-day's meeting of tho Transport Workers' Advisory Board, in whose haiids the dispute has been placed by tho union.
