KARORI BOROUGH AFFAIRS

MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. The fortnightly meeting of tho Karori Borough Council was held last evening. The Mayor (Mr. B. G. H. Burn) presided, and there wero pre-, sent Councillors W. Sicegg, R.. L. Tingey, T. W. Lower, J. W. Henderson, H. E. W. G. Bradnock, and A. Hamilton: •' A letter was received from Sir James Allen, Minister of Defence, intimating that he would be glad to accedo to tho council's request to unveil the council's Honours Board on Monday next. The ceremony will accordingly take placo on that date. The 'Honours Board contains tho names of all the men who have left Karori for the front, and the names of those who have yet to go will be added.
