' ' (1) That the Education Department '.should encourage agriculture instruction to a greater degree in the direc■tion: of providing suitable implements, and in subsidising voluntary contributions of land/free of rent. •. (2) That tho functions of the Acri- ' cultural and Education Department should be clearly defined with regard to agricultural instruction generally. ■ :'■' Suggestion:—(a) That the main function: of the Agricultural Department .should be in the direction oi investigation and experiment, (b) That the irork of disseminating tho information .thus obtained should be the function mainly of the Education Department. • (3) That there should be some definits provisions made for the adequate agriculture instructors. (4) That a definite line of demarcajtion should be drawn between manual training in agricultural and technical '■'■ classee in agriculturb as a training for boys who are actually, going to be farmers. ,
