GOLDEN BAT CEMENT CO. The balance-sheet of the. Golden Bay Cement Works, Limited, for the year ended June 30 last shows a net profit of £4376 3a.,.Jas compared with £4334 10b. 10d. in the preoedlng year. With the amonnt brought forward £4959 Oβ. 3d. there is available £9335 3a. 3d., and the directors recommend that a dividend of 5 per oent., which will absorb £3000, bo paid out of this, and that the balance of £6335 3i. 3d. be carried • forward. In their report the directors say: "During-tho past year competition hae been very keen, while tho prices of all stores, together with freights and' other charges have advanced considerably, the income tax alone amounting of over £3000. In ■ accordance with the Articles of Association, Messrs. Himmer and Stewart are the retiring directors, and being eligible offer themselves for reelection. The retiring auditors, Messrs. E. Buoholz and D. E. Menzies, also seek re-election. ' '
