MANUKA FBOM-SYDNEY. Fine weather and smooth seas gate the Manuka, which arrived here at 3.45 p.m. yesterday, a pleasant passage from Sydney. wjricli port, she left at 11 a.m. on Saturday. As she in to sail lor Sydney direct at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and not at 11 p.m. on that day, as previously announced, the Manuka will not make the usual call at Lyttelton. Owing to shortage of labour it was necessary to postpone the departure of the Baden fowell for Lyttcltqii until 5 p.m. to-day. 'The Kaliu arrived yesterday morning from the East Coast, and returns at noon to-dav. Further cargo for Dunedin will be received until noon to-day by the Stella. Mr. E. G. F.'Zohrab is agent, for the vessel. The Kennedy is to sail for Nelson and the Coast at '3 p.m. to-day. ' The Mana will sail to-day for Lyttelton. The Kokiri was to leave Wcstport last night for Wellington. Last night the Corinna arrived from New Plymouth. Her future, movements -io uncertain. The Monowai, on her trip north on Monday, will not take local cargo. She will be here for bunkering purposes only. The To Anau is now fixed to load at Wellington on. Saturday for Tiinaru. Damoru, and ' Blufl . , . Tho schooner May. Howard' arrived at Dunedin on Monday morning from Wellington and Lyttelton after an absence of about seven weeks. The vessel left thero on July ,6 for Wellington, and sailed again from the northern port on July 24. She encountered very stormy weather in Cook Strait, and was eventually towed to Lytta'.ton with her rudder damaged. The schooner was doclifd at Lyttelton, where a new rudder was fitted, and other repairs edected. The Groyniouth Harbour Board has notified that as from September 1 ft whito occulting Aga light will be exhibited from tho ilagstall 65ft. above high-water mark, in place of tho present fixed light.
