There have been three recent advices' about the'so advances against meat. The' ; firs£;, was 'that would be made after tln;eo months, with, the proviso that no payment would be ■ made until 80,000 tons of ; meat had teen put into the stores;' This amount, translated into mow commonly used' terms, means that no payment was to 3be made until three million freight carcasses, or about half the output lor a season, had gone into store. On further representations being made by tlio New Zealand Government tins condition was withdrawn, and the arrange-. • roent then was that payment would bo made after'three'months, without any provision as to the quantity to be put into tho stores.
