THE SECOND WELLINGTON BOARD

LIST OP APPEALS

The Second Wellington Military Service Board opened a session in Wellington yesterday. The board consists of Messrs. J. W. Poynton, S.M. (chairman), T. A. Dumber, and F. Curtice. Captain Beale is the military representative. An appeal for David A. L. Clark, dental salesman, Newtown, was adjourned sine die. An appeal by George F. Sievers, bus proprietor, Eastbourne, was adjourned till October. Adjournments, sine die were made in the cases of the following dairy farmers, on the condition that they continued to supply the city of Wellington with milk:—William Telford, Miramar; George Robert Kells, Taita; and Edward Fitchett, Brooklyn. The board concluded the hearing of the case of Herbert Horace AVest, railway employee, Newtown, who had had two brothers killed and two discharged. The appeal was adjourned sine die. Philip Salmon, draper, appealed on the ground of family hardship, and the case was adjourned for further inquiries. An appeal by Lewis M. .Silver was adjourned till October for the production of further evidence. ' A further adjournment was made in the case of John M. Griffiths, Customs agent. Douglas Patrick, merchant, appealed for business reasons, and the appeal was adjourned sine die, the case to be reviewed in January.

Leave till December ,was given William E. J3urne, carrier, Karori. An appeal for Daniel D. Lynch, farmer, Paraparaumu, was adjourned till December.

An adjournment till January was made in the cise of John A. Johnson, shepherd, Plimmerton. Leave till January was Ifrank E. Jenkins, farmer, Wainui-o-mata. An appeal was lodged by A. W. Jackson, motorman, and an ' ndjournment till December was mado.

Sine die adjournments were made in the cases of William C. Hardwick, fruiterer, Hatajtai: Charles H. Andrews, Hataitai; Robert Carey, engineer to the Aelburn Tramway Co.; George W. Slade; printer, Brooklyn; Waiter H. Luxford, transport worker; L. H. Burborough, saddlery foreman, PetonejW. H. P. Taylor, farmer, Pahautanui: 0. Giddall, brass moulder, Ngaio; Richard W; Olsen, cooper, Lower Hutt. The board will sit agaiji to-day..
